Pasta with Basil Pesto

Crisp ‘n Dry does a great job of allowing the complimentary flavours of basil, pine nuts and parmesan to shine through. It works with all pasta shapes so get creative!


70g basil
50g pine nuts, toasted
60g parmesan, grated
2 small garlic cloves
½ tsp ground black pepper
100ml Crisp ‘n Dry
300g fresh or cooked pasta

Step 1

Add 60g basil, 50g of parmesan, garlic & black pepper to the bowl of a food processor, & pulse until chopped & combined.

Step 2

Pour in the oil & pulse again, then add 40g pine nuts & process until the pesto has reached your desired consistency.

Step 3

Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions, & drain, reserving a mug of the cooking water. Tip the drained pasta back into the pot it cooked in, & stir the pesto through, along with half a cup of the cooking water. Serve in warm bowls topped with the reserved pine nuts, parmesan & basil leaves.
